Description

Sponsor a Wreath for one of the War of 1812 veterans buried in the same cemetery of Captain William Magill. Let’s make sure these often overlooked veterans are remembered and honored in their annual ceremony.

The fundraising support from Wreaths Across America and attention from the community for the cemetery helps cover a small portion of their historic preservation needs. With their sanctuary completed in 1815, the cemetery and church are historic places that likely saw the family celebrations of the veterans in their cemetery over generations.

The chapter has routinely sponsored the wreath for Capt. Magill in support of this preservation and in honor of his service. We’re making it easier for members to make sure that the rest of the Bucks County Rangers and other War of 1812 veterans in the cemetery are also remembered.

Should the New Britain Baptist Church Cemetery fulfill their wreath needs, there is also the option to contribute for any War of 1812 veteran in another cemetery. There are known burials from the conflict at many other participating cemeteries, including Arlington National Cemetery outside of our nation’s capital, Mount Moriah Cemetery in Philadelphia, and other participating cemeteries around Pennsylvania.
